Her census entry for 1870:

1870 Middlesex Co., MA Census, Page No. 49/423A
Concord, County of Middlesex, State of Mass
22 August 1870 by S. Simons
P.O. Concord
line 9, 2/2 ALCOTT A Brownsen 70 “[M] “[W] Lecturer 5000/2000 Con.
Aby M. 69 F “[W] Kep house Mass
Lizzie 38 “[F] “[W] Authoress Pen.
Abie M 29 “[F] “[W] Artist Mass
CONANT Mary B. 52 “[F] “[W] “[Mass]

That’s 11 years after the death of her sister Lizzie.

One wonders who reported the names to Mr. Simons.

I am a misanthrope. No one ever believes me, but this seems to prove my point.
