Overheard XII

Three children playing at the ship wheel/rudder platform in front of the USS Constellation at the Inner Harbor.

Mom is talking on the cell phone.

“Make the choice.
Make the choice.
Be around Kim, stay away from me.”

Stay away from me.
Stay away from me.
Stay away from me.
Stay away from me.
Stay away from me.”

Hangs up the phone and yells at the kids:

“Let’s go.
Let’s go.

Let’s go NOW.”

I am a misanthrope. No one ever believes me, but this seems to prove my point.
